Sculpture tour by bike Tomorrow!
Wed 25 Nov 2009
Neil Plimmer, Chairman of the Wellington Sculpture Trust, has agreed to wobble his way around central Wellington's best public sculptures on a cycle tour, while telling the intriguing stories behind them. Meet at Civic Square under the Fern Ball at 12.30pm. Moving south you will see the artworks in Frank Kitts Park and watch the Water Whirler perform near the TSB Arena at 1pm. Then we will be cycling across to Lambton Quay to see eight works, from the kinetic Protoplasm, to the motionless Spinning Top to the statue of Peter Fraser.
The tour will wind up at the elegant marble Seismic in Bunny St before 2pm.
Just turn up, there is no need to book!
