Feel like your car is bringing the environment down?

Want to green your ride this summer?

Cycle to work on Tuesday 11 November and join us for a free breakfast, music and festivities at Green My Ride.

This will be your chance to: Swap your car for a brand new bike and sleep easy knowing you are doing your bit for the world.
Five lucky winners will swap their old cars for brand new Avanti bikes with commuter kits (worth over $1200) so you are ready to ride. Cars must have a WOF and registration.

Pimp my Bike - we will transform your bike into a cyclist's dream.

To register send us a link to your YouTube page or email us and tell us why we should swap your car for a bike, or pimp your bike. Get creative this is a sweet deal! entries close: Monday 10 November noon.

Winners will be notified prior to the event and announced at 8am at Green my Ride.

Facts about cars: 

• 75% of your average car is recyclable
• Wellington City Councils scrap metal is first crushed on site into cubes and then shipped to China where it is recycled into construction material (your old car may have been turned into Bejing's birds nest)
• There are 150,000 cars scrapped in NZ each year
• In each 'end of life vehicle' there is around 20 litres of pollutants, so crucial to keep these out of our environment.

This is a Green Event, please ensure that you reduce, reuse, recycle and use sustainable transport where possible.
