About Feeling Great
This website is produced and maintained by Recreation Wellington, a business unit of Wellington City Council.
Recreation Wellington's vision is to encourage Wellingtonians to 'feel great' by enhancing well being and healthy lifestyles through the provision of quality, accessible and affordable recreation opportunities.
Recreation Wellington includes Wellington's seven swimming pools, four recreation centres and the Wellington Arts Centre and also delivers a range of community recreation services including the Get Set Go programme, Leisure Card and community grants.
The business unit is also responsible for partnering, developing and delivering a number of events including the Dance Your Socks Off and Out of the Hat festivals, Artsplash and Stepping Out.
As well as developing and maintaining the 'Feeling Great' website Recreation Wellington also produces a series of monthly leisure guides of the same name. These can be picked up from Feeling Great stands situated at strategic sites around the City - including Wellington Railway Station, Wellington Airport, Courtenay Central, Chaffers New World, the Cable Car, Wellington Central Library, Wellington Information Centre, Victoria and Massey Universities, Newtown Mall and most central city cafes and theatres.
